A Manchester United fan named Karl Anderson has been sentenced to 16 weeks in prison for assaulting England and Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling.
The hooligan was said to have booted Raheem Sterling four times and hurled a volley of abuse at the star who plays for United’s rivals City including racial slurs.
Anderson confronted the 23-year-old before his team’s 4-1 win against Tottenham on Saturday, December 16, as the star got out of his black car at player’s entrance to the training complex in Manchester.
Interestingly, Karl Anderson pleaded guilty at the Salford Magistrates Court and smiled after being sentenced to 16 weeks in Jail.
The UK Sun also stated that Manchester City star Raheem Sterling was not present during the judgement at the Court.
