    Reports has it that soldiers have allegedly stormed into the home of the leader of the indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, in Abia state. 
    According to reports on September 14, Kanu’s lawyer, Ifeanyi Ejiofor, said the soldiers forcefully gained entrance into his client's house after shooting for about 40 minutes.
    He said the entrance gate of the IPOB leader’s residence was broken-down and forced open.
    Ejiofor said: “Their mission is still unknown as every person seen in his house has surrendered, including his aged parents.
    "Military has declared war on the innocent , unarmed and defenceless civilians. The situation is serious. My Client whereabout has remained unknown.
    "His entire house has been shattered with bullets and missiles.
    "Will avail the world with the pictures of these dastardly acts."
    The lawyer however, appealed to IPOB members to remain calm in the face of unprovoked killings, torture, abduction and malicious destruction of property.
    He assured the group that the entire world was watching and urged them not to take up arms, but continue to conduct themselves in the most civilized manner.
    "We have filed a formal communication with the United Nations, European Union, United States, Russia, Israel and France. They have duly acknowledged my petition awaiting prompt action. International criminal court of Justice is still there at Hague," he said.
    The New Telegraph reports that four people were reported killed, 15 were arrested while scores lay wounded following the military offensive at Kanu’s residence.
    The newspaper stated that those killed, arrested or wounded were among the IPOB members who work directly with the IPOB leader.
    As at the time of publishing this report, We where yet to independently verify the alleged attack on Kanu’s residence as claimed by his lawyer.

    Meanwhile, members of the Indigenous People of Biafra have reportedly attacked the residence of police commissioner in Umuahia, the state capital of Abia state.
    Also, three members of the IPOB were allegedly shot dead by security officers in the state capital.
    The IPOB members were also accused of setting fire on the vehicles in the compound of the police commissioner.
    Somto Okonkwo who posted the incident on Facebook alleged that Biafrans were attacked by the policemen who were stationed at the government house.
    He said the police had the help of the army in attacking IPOB members.
