Manchester United have unveiled a new away shirt for next season which is based on the one they used from 1990 -1992.
For away games next season, Manchester United will wear a black adidas shirt which has a ribbed round neck.
The mesh design of the new kit is made in celebration of the ’90-92’ Manchester United which is hated and impossible to ignore according to Adidas.
“It's no secret that the mighty Red Devils dominate and command respect from their opponents,” Adidas said in a statement.
“Like the giants themselves, the '90-'92 Man United away kit is celebrated, hated and impossible to ignore. A bold version of the iconic kit, this men's football jersey embraces all the hype and amplifies it.”
Iconic former Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson won his major trophy for the club in 1992 when there wore this type of kit.
The famous class of 92 who went on to form the core of Manchester United’s most successful squad ever also wore the shirt.
Paul Pogba, Ander Herrera, Daley Blind are some of the players modelling the new kit in the promotional photos released by the club.
Can they go ahead to form the core of another successful Manchester United squad?
Only time will tell.
