According to reports, the young science student of the Navrongo SHS in Upper East, Ghana, had excelled with flying colors in the last West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE), but poverty was threatening the young man’s future and hopes of attending university.
It is reported that a popular retail shop in Ghana and another prominent bank showed up and promised to see to it that Ebenezer goes to the university.
These benevolent bodies stated that immediately Ebenezer gains admission into any tertiary institution, they would take care of all the financial responsibilities.
Some private individuals also promised to put the young man on a scholarship scheme to ensure that his dream of going to the university is not cut short.
The news comes as a big relief to his mother who reportedly washes people’s clothes for a living and father who is a subsistence farmer.
With the help of all these sponsors, Ebenezer’s dream of becoming a medical doctor has received a massive boost and his ambitions would live to see another day.
Ebenezer scored 8 A’s in all his core and elective papers including Physics, Elective Maths and Chemistry.
