A terror suspect in custody hung himself in his jail cell, the justice ministry said on wednesday.
The terrorist, Abdullah K., became arrested in june alongside his three brothers on suspicion of membership of the Al-Nusra Front — Al-Qaeda’s department in Syria that later break up from the group and changed its name to Jabhat Fatah Al-Sham.
The justice ministry in Hamburg, Germany, said there were no indication that the Syrian terrorist, Abdullah K, were suicidal, and that he had appeared “Stable’’ throughout an assessment through a Psychologist on august 25.
The man and his brothers had been accused of fighting Syrian forces and also for being participants of the Kurdish YPG armed forces within the northern City of Ras Al-Ayn from 2012 onwards.
