Simi speaks on her upcoming album, alleged triangular relationship between her, Falz and Adekunle Gold and more.
On when her album will be dropping, Simi said there is no date, and revealed she’s both excited and nervous about the stress that would be going into the project because of the perfectionist nature between her and producer.
“I’m so excited and I am also a bit scared because I know a lot of work is going to go into it. I’m a perfectionist, my producer is a perfectionist so between the both of us there probably is gonna be a lot of stress..’’ Simi said.
On why she left Gospel music for secular music, the songbird said it’s because she wanted to explore music as an art, and take it as a job.
Though work can be hectic on some days, Simi sees it as play because she wakes up to do what she enjoys.
On female artists being perceived to be on a lower level, she feels female artists do have to fight harder for a spot in the industry, and feels society tends to favour men over the women in a general sense.
“I don’t think that female artists are on a different level, I think it’s just society that puts guys ahead of women it’s not like women are less, ” Simi explained.
