- Daniel Amokachi says Victor Moses has the potential to be as good as Barcelona's Lionel Messi
- Moses has reinvented himself as a wing-back for Chelsea this season following a trio of loan spells
- Amokachi, a former Super Eagles attacker, says Moses must work hard to be as good as the Barcelona man
Daniel Amokachi reckons Chelsea' Victor Moses has the potential to raise his game to the level of Lionel Messi.
The JS Hercules manager however warns that Chelsea's right wing-back must work hard in order to reach the level of the man many regard as the best footballer ever.
Moses, 26, was converted into a right wing-back by Antonio Conte earlier this season as the Blues chase a Premier League and FA Cup double in the Italian's first season in charge.
“If Victor Moses wants to be [Lionel] Messi, he can be Messi,” Amokachi told The Guardian.
“It’s been a very long time since I’ve seen a player who has so many qualities. We have talked a lot. And what I told him, I told him every time.
“If you want to be the best that you can, then you have to work harder. In the past he was a player who can sometimes switch off.
“You speak to people who train with [Cristiano] Ronaldo and Messi and they tell you it is incredible how hard they work. That seems to have sunk in now thanks to Conte.”

Moses has scored three goals in 32 appearances this season and could win the English Premier League and FA Cup titles.
Messi on the other hand has scored 51 goals for the Catalans this season as they chase a La Liga and Copa Del Rey double.
